Crazy Duck Press, publisher of Vampire News vol. 1 (2012) and Vampire News: The (Not So) End Times Edition! vol. 2 (2013), is on the lookout for submissions to its third Vampire News volume. Here’s what they’re after:
Vampire News is an annual anthology that records for posterity the vampire/horror-related activity of vampire/vampyre culture, one year at a time. From the real world happenings of the VC/OVC communities to fictional books, webisodes, tea parties, and movies. If it has bloody fangs we probably want to know about it.
We are looking for Essays, Articles, News Reports, News Quips, Social Commentary, Rants, Short Fiction, Fan FIction, Flash Fiction, Journal Entries, Illustrations, Photography, and Web Links.
Illustrations: Do Not Send Originals! Send a digital copy; at least 300 dpi. Black & White. All colored images will be made Black & White for printing.
Photography: Do Not Send Originals! Send a digital copy; at least 300 dpi. Black & White. All colored images will be made Black & White for printing.
The Written content of Vampire News must reflect the year prior to its publication. Meaning, that if the book comes out in 2013, then the news, articles, and information within it are about the year 2012. That is why it is an annual anthology. So, please keep this in mind when submitting work. If your work has appeared in other publications in a different year than what the anthology is about then we do not want it.
If your work is selected for inclusion in Vampire News you will receive free digital copies of the book and are granted access to purchase copies for resale at the printer’s cost, but must conform to the cost of the book’s barcode when reselling (Crazy Duck Press, LLC, 2013).
The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2014. Email submissions to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Or, mail them to:

I submitted an article titled “A Vampiric Proposal” for the book’s second volume (Hogg 2013) and wrote a few items for “Vampire News Time Line.” The volume also features a Facebook group conversation between me and a few others (Germann et. al., 2013).
