This segment was originally titled “Guest Blog” on The Vampirologist (Blogger Version). I invited certain people to contribute posts featuring an interesting slant on vampires.
The first participant was Jane, a student of Thomas J. Garza’s “Vampire in Slavic Cultures” course at the University of Texas in Austin (part one; part two). The second guest was James Lyon, author of Kiss of the Butterfly (2012), who discussed his visit to a watermill in Zarožje, Serbia—supposedly haunted by a vampire named Sava Savanović.
That segment lives on here. If you’ve got an interesting story to tell, contact me and we’ll talk it over. Be sure to include a picture—or pictures—with your post.
